While trying to lose weight I am using this strategy called a zigzag diet. On the weekends I eat maintenance calories. This is basically 1600-1900 calories. This tactic is so that your body won’t plateau. I don’t know if its true, I haven’t been doing this long enough. I do know that I am looking forward to the day where I will be able to always be on maintenance level!
I don’t over eat on maintenance days but its not being able to splurge and have an ice cream or get dinner out. I tend to think that those things are a splurge though. So when I am living a life in maintenance calories I think it’d be best to do those things only on occasion. This weekend I enjoyed pizza, ice cream and a beer! It was pretty great.
